Successful Production of LNG from PETRONAS’ FLNG SATU Moored by SOFEC’s External Turret

Houston, December 31, 2016 – PETRONAS’ first floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, PFLNG SATU moored by SOFEC, Inc.’s external turret has achieved an industry breakthrough with the successful production of its first drop of LNG from the Kanowit gas field, offshore Sarawak on December 5, 2016. PFLNG SATU achieved the first gas milestone with the introduction of gas from the KAKG-A central processing platform on November 14, 2016. It is anticipated that the first commercial offtake will be in the first quarter of 2017.
